Kingston is situated about two miles south of Corfe Castle and five miles west of Swanage. The village of Kingston is situated on a hill near Swyre Head, the highest point of the Purbeck Hills, it offers stunning views stretching from Corfe Castle to Swanage.
Kingstone is a very popular location for walkers, it is surrounded by woods and many very popular walking trails pass through the pretty village. It’s in a very central location close to many other villages such as Worth Matravers, Langton Matravers and Corfe Castle.
The ‘Commoners Ways’ starts at Kingston travelling south to Corfe Castle and back again. Another walking route is the Purbeck Way, of which part travels from Corfe Castle, past Kingston and ends at Chapman’s Pool just outside Worth Matravers village.
