DESCRIPTION
Nestled in a quiet and peaceful location, in the delightful village of Worth Matravers, Dorset, just 4 miles west of Swanage and Corfe Castle, this cosy cottage is a stone’s throw from the traditional village green and picturesque duck pond.
The front door opens into a bright open-plan, studio style accommodation, with plenty of light, and windows overlooking the garden. It has high ceilings, beautiful beams and has underfloor heating throughout the cottage, to keep it cosy on colder nights.
To the left side of this contemporary cottage, there is a fitted kitchen with a large fridge freezer, a combination microwave oven and washing machine.
There is a dining area with a table and chairs and a sitting area with a TV which has Freesat, which provides an ideal space to relax after an adventurous day out exploring the beautiful surroundings.
To the right side of the open plan accommodation is the bedroom area, featuring a king size bed. Leading from the bedroom area, is a door to a spacious shower room with a large walk in shower cubicle with an electric shower, WC and wash hand basin.
The Thatch has a lawn area at the front of the cottage, with garden furniture to dine in the sun or to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this perfect location. There is also a parking space at the front of the cottage for one car. The Thatch is set within the grounds of St Nicholas Court House, which may also be occupied by guests.
The Thatch, St Nicholas Court is a splendid property is a peaceful location and provides an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area. It is perfect for walkers as there are many stunning walks which can be enjoyed direct from the cottage’s front door, including Chapman’s Pool, St Aldhelm’s Head, Winspit, Seacombe, Dancing Ledge and The Priest’s Way. The picture-perfect village of Worth Matravers has the Square and Compass Pub offering a friendly welcome, the tea rooms, serving delicious home-cooked food and the locally crafted ‘Woodhenge’. The village of Corfe Castle is approximately 10 minutes’ drive and the seaside town of Swanage and other fantastic local beaches including Studland are within easy reach.

We did have issues on the Fridge and wet room drain blocked on arrival but Tracy sorted it out extremely quickly to our satisfaction. Overall a great location for a short term stay. Thanks Tracy we enjoyed our stay.
